The Mengchen style purple clay teapot has a reputation in southern China and is sold in Europe.  His works are popular in Guangdong, Fujian and other places. It is also the first purple clay pot to go overseas, which has a profound influence on the early European pot industry. Hui Xiangyun

The fifteenth generation descendant of Hui Mengchen, the great pot maker in Ming Dynasty.

In Yixing, China, the only person with the surname Hui is our family.  Hui Mengchen, many people had disputes before, and felt that he was not from Yixing.  We have a family tree, which is very meticulously recorded.  He was from the Ming Dynasty. He was in the last years of the Ming Dynasty. He did Zhu Ni in fact later. He did not make Zhu Ni in the early days. In the late Ming and early Qing, our overseas trade was in Guangdong, like the Chaoshan area.  A lot of giant businessmen, they drink Kung Fu tea.  Then I was able to invite my ancestor Shang Hui Mengchen to Chaozhou, because they drank Kung Fu tea in Chaozhou and made them according to their requirements. Later, his Zhuni became his representative thing.  In fact, he also made big pots, which was later extended to the habit of drinking tea throughout the UK, which was actually brought by early Guangdong merchants.  The shadow of Hui Mengchen's classic pear-shaped pot can be seen on many silver tea sets of the British royal family.

Hui Xiangyun Shitao's family, the fifteenth generation descendant of Hui Mengchen, the master pot maker in Ming Dynasty, was born in Yixing in 1968.  He studied pot making with his father since he was a child, and later learned from the Chinese ceramic master He Daohong. He has a solid foundation and outstanding craftsmanship. He has a deep understanding of purple sand and is called the "folk purple sand master" by collectors.  Jin Yong gave his inscription "Huixiangyun Zisha Treasure". Master Qi Gong personally wrote "Auspicious Cloud Pot Art, Dare to Climb the Peak".  People jokingly called "Tibetan Mud Weng".  His works are remarkable, exquisite and exquisite, no matter whether it is the selection of materials, modeling, or production technology. There are no traces of crude and shoddy work,

and they have strong artistic appreciation and collection value.
