Niu Lan Keng is one of the celebrated Three Ravines & Two Gullies of Wuyi’s core authentic rock tea zone. It features long, narrow canyons with flowing streams, shrouded in mist all year round, and rich humus soil. This distinctive microclimate nurtures these mature Shuixian tea trees. Rooted in the rocky soil of Niu Lan Keng’s cliffs, the trees have endured decades of wind and rain. Their roots stretch deep into rock crevices, absorbing mineral nutrients from the stone. Unlike ordinary Shuixian shrubs, ancient tea trees develop a distinctive woody aged bush charm — an irreplaceable gift forged over time.
The dry tea leaves are tightly twisted and robust, with a deep dark brown hue interspersed with natural amber streaks. The leaves remain intact with minimal fragments.
