Twenty‑one years of ageing witness the original aspiration of Haiwan Tea Industry. This first‑generation limited‑edition ripe pu‑erh tea with a one‑of‑a‑kind serial number is a treasured aged masterpiece collected by Tongxin She Tea House.

The year 2004 marked the 5th anniversary of Haiwan Tea Industry. While the brand was newly‑established with limited resources, it launched its very first batch of special‑edition limited‑release ripe pu‑erh out of sincere devotion to making fine tea for people across the world. The term “special‑edition” is never a marketing gimmick. It denotes bespoke‑crafted tea for true tea connoisseurs, serving as Haiwan’s debut calling card to the whole tea‑trade industry and embodying the brand’s initial tea‑making philosophy.

This collectible tea cake was originally issued in a limited‑run by the manufacturer. It bears the exclusive serial number 0003977, with matching codes printed on the wrapper paper and inner ticket as its irreplicable collectible identification credential. Only several thousand cakes were produced back then. After twenty‑one years, intact original cakes with complete serial numbers and proper storage have become extremely rare, highly sought‑after by senior global overseas aged‑tea collectors.

The tea was personally blended and supervised by Master Zou Bingliang, intangible‑cultural‑heritage inheritor and lifetime‑achievement master of pu‑erh tea‑making. By that time, the master had devoted 47 years to tea‑making, turning professional craftsmanship into natural instinct. Every procedure from raw‑material selection to fermentation control embodies his lifelong expertise. This is no mass‑produced commodity, but a refined work forged by a lifetime‑long tea‑making master.

Premium high‑altitude arbor tree raw materials from Menghai are selected. The dry tea strips are dark‑red, tight and plump, covered with abundant golden tea buds rich in internal substances. Fermentation took place in Kunming, where dry climate and sharp day‑night temperature differences enable slow, steady mild‑pile‑fermentation. Different from heavily‑fermented commercial ripe pu‑erh, this method fully retains the native vitality of tea leaves and builds pure, firm tea character.

Stored in the constant‑temperature dry cellar of Tongxin She Tea House in Shenzhen for twenty‑one years with strict protection against light exposure and dampness, no wet‑cellar ageing or artificial ageing is involved. Thanks to the mild, dry coastal climate of Shenzhen, the tea matures naturally and steadily. Raw fermented astringency has completely faded away. Distinct elegant lotus‑flavour emerges prominently on dry tea, a rare premium‑grade aroma among ripe pu‑erh. Under the lotus note lie layered dry‑fungi fragrance and medicinal fragrance, deep and long‑lasting.

When brewed with boiling water, the tea liquor shows a gorgeous translucent gem‑like burgundy colour with thick texture and rich colloids. Instead of superficial smoothness, the liquor delivers solid, substantial texture with powerful character, akin to time‑polished ancient jade‑warm yet profound, mellow‑viscous with underlying strength. The liquor carries subtle lingering fragrance with restrained, persistent sweetness alongside soft delicate texture. Even with merely 6 grams of tea leaves, the flavour stays perfectly consistent after 8 infusions.

It does not deliver striking instant‑first‑sip sensation. Its charm reveals itself only when you settle down and savour it slowly, growing increasingly addictive with every sip. Raw pu‑erh accompanies you to explore the world, while ripe pu‑erh accompanies daily life. This 21‑year‑old aged tea brings inner reconciliation midway through life. It preserves the pristine lotus‑flavour of its early days and gains steady, composed liquor texture shaped by years of experience.

Twenty‑one years ago, Haiwan Tea Industry announced its original tea‑making aspiration via this tea cake. Today it acts like a calm old friend proving fine tea withstands the test of time. Most seasoned tea lovers end up with aged pu‑erh tea. Within this perfectly‑matured liquor, you will perceive the steady power accumulated over decades.

The whole 400‑gram original numbered cake holds tremendous collectible value with a high entry‑level price. Tongxin She splits our private‑collection original cakes into premium 8‑gram tasting samples. The samples share identical raw‑materials, cellar‑ageing profiles and flavours with original cakes, allowing global tea lovers to experience the time‑honoured charm of this limited‑edition aged tea and appreciate Master Zou Bingliang’s peerless craftsmanship at a lower tasting cost.
