During the prolonged plum‑season rains, mist and drizzle linger everywhere. Damp‑heavy moisture pervades the air. Trapped under humid weather, our bodies grow sluggish and our minds turn restless. Chilly dampness disturbs our wellbeing. Amid worldly chaos, nothing soothes the soul better than a warm cup of aged tea.

Exclusively curated by Tongxin‑she Teahouse, the 2005 Tianyou Peak Shui Xian has matured gently over twenty years into an elegant, mellow aged rock tea. Perfect for humid rainy weather, its rich rocky flavour dispels dampness, calms nerves and brings inner peace.

Tianyou Peak ranks among Wuyi Mountain’s premier genuine rock‑zone sites, nestled beside the winding Jiuqu Stream. Layered rock cliffs retain water and nourishment, while mineral‑rich rocky soil, persistent mountain mist and gentle mountain breeze shape a superior exclusive microclimate. This extraordinary terroir endows this Shui Xian tea with a pure and authentic rocky‑bone temperament. The tea liquor embodies the distinctive crisp texture and vivid mountain vitality of genuine Wuyi rock tea, presenting profound and reliable terroir heritage.

This batch of 2005 Tianyou Peak Shui Xian was crafted by seasoned Wuyi artisans with traditional full roasting techniques. The steady, thorough and well‑balanced roasting perfectly locks in the rich internal substances of high‑mountain tea.

Stored naturally in dry warehouses for two decades, without artificial ripening or humid intervention, the tea has gradually shed the fierce fire temperament and astringent sharpness of young tea over time. All formerly bright and bold aromas have settled into restraint. The soluble substances inside the tea have undergone sufficient ageing and precipitation, fully entering the prime drinking stage of aged rock tea — mild, mellow, silky and transparent. It is a rare collectible‑grade genuine rock tea with perfect vintage condition.

The dry tea strips are tight and well‑proportioned, with a calm, glossy dark brown appearance. The tea leaves remain dry and immaculately clean, releasing a faint elegant medicinal aroma and mature rocky earth fragrance unique to vintage rock tea. The scent is pure, dignified and refined, free of musty odour, miscellaneous flavour or stale dullness.

Revive the aged tea with boiling water. The tea liquor presents a warm, translucent amber colour, with full, rich and lustrous texture. Its delicate and creamy density is incomparable to newly produced rock tea.

The tea enters the mouth silky and dense, with soft mellow texture and instant natural sweetness. It slides down the throat smoothly and gently without any irritation. At first sip, the well‑aged mature rocky rhyme and delicate medicinal aroma unfold slowly. The middle taste carries refined sweetness blended with the fresh and clean mountain breeze flavour exclusive to Tianyou Peak terroir. The finishing note is pure and sweet, with a tender and lasting sweet aftertaste lingering fully on the palate.

Different from the high‑fragrance and sharp character of young rock tea, this twenty‑year‑old aged Shui Xian delivers mild, thick and restrained tea energy. After swallowing, the gentle warmth flows throughout the body, naturally dispelling the damp and cold stagnation accumulated in rainy days and relieving physical heaviness and fatigue.

The tea rhyme is moderate yet powerful, soft yet structured. Rocky essence hides in mildness, and aged fragrance blends with subtle sweetness. The overall temperament is quiet, peaceful and deeply comforting.

On continuous rainy and misty days amid mortal hustle and bustle, settle down quietly in the teahouse and brew a pot of 2005 Tianyou Peak Shui Xian. Taste the tender rocky rhyme precipitated by twenty years of Wuyi’s mountains and rivers, dispel worldly damp turbidity and calm impetuous moods.

With a cup of vintage aged tea in hand, you remain unperturbed by wind and rain. Dampness fades away, the mind settles, the heart finds peace, and every moment flows in tranquil serenity.
