DESCRIPTION: A pure, hand-made white clay pottery Tao Mintang 'Qin Quan' teapot from Jingdezhen. The soda teapot is comprised of weak alkaline metal ions, such as potassium, sodium, calcium, etc., which are decomposed by high-temperature firing, which then forms a special glaze after being heated by boiling water. The softening effect of the partial silicon elements, such as zinc and lithium, on the water shield is particularly obvious, making the water molecules present weak, alkaline state. The glaze's layer is bright and lustrous, with some irregular brown dots - a normal phenomenon of this glaze. The glaze is also known for its prevalent small and staggered 'ice' cracks (see images #6-10), which mirrors precious pieces made by the ancient Geyao pottery founded during the Song dynasty.
MATERIAL: High-fired soda glazed white clay
