Short Foot Oolong is an old variety with a long history, Short Foot Oolong. Many people may not be familiar with this name, but you will know it when you mention Taiwan Oolong. The female parent of the most important Qingxin Oolong in Taiwan is Short Foot Oolong. In fact, it is also called Xiaoye Oolong. Because the plant is short and only about 1 meter high, it is nicknamed "dwarf" by the locals.

Short Foot Oolong has a long history. It was originally grown in the Oudong Peak area of Fujian, where the Imperial Tea Garden of the Song Dynasty was located. At that time, the Royal Tea Garden gathered many high-quality tea tree varieties. Short Foot Oolong was planted as a high-quality variety. Later, the Royal Tea Garden was neglected and little known. It was not until the 1980s that Mr. Wu Zhenduo, the "Father of Taiwanese Tea", discovered this land. In the century-old Short Foot Oolong tea plantation, this variety has been valued again.

Due to its strong adaptability, it has been introduced to various places. Today's Short Foot Oolong was planted in Wuyi Mountain in the 1990s. It is currently in the young and mature stage of the tea tree, and the tea is rich in content. The tea garden is located in Yuhua Cave, the core production area of Zhengyan. Generally, Rou Gui and Shui Xian are mostly planted in Wuyi rock tea production areas. These two varieties have high economic value, while other varieties of tea are in small quantities. Not much.
