DESCRIPTION:The good tea is where the rocks are. There is no good tea without the rocks. Wuyi Mountain is famous for its rocky Danxia landform. Inhaling the essence of the mountains and rivers, the sun and the moon, and the natural scenery, rock tea is born in these rocky valleys. Although the Wuyi Mountains are rich in natural resources, there are only a handful of famous mountain locations and mountain farms with Rou Gui that is the object of tea drinkers' yearning. Ma Tou Yan's Rou Gui is called the "horse meat" by tea enthusiasts, as the character for 'Ma' means a horse, and 'rou' of Rou Gui means meat. Ma Tou Yan is a landmark, a huge formation of weathered rocks that look like a majestic horse from a distance. The surroundings are open, with little shade, so there is plenty of sunlight, which is conducive to the formation of high, more exuberant tea aromas, and bolder flavours.
For tea lovers who love Wuyi rock tea, there is a threshold that cannot be bypassed, that is to taste Rou Gui. Famously, there is a saying about Wuyi Rou Gui:"aroma is easy to find and taste is hard to find", which means there are many fragrant Rou Gui Oolongs, but it's hard to find one with the characteristic flavour of Rou Gui. The unique landform has created the rock rhythm of Rou Gui. In order to achieve more authentic characteristics of Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui more, this "Special Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui" is handmade by the top-rank, skilled tea producer, the inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage of Wuyi Rock Tea (Da Hong Pao): Mr. Wang Guo Xing. Master Wang Guoxing has turned Rou Gui's domineering aroma mellow and refreshing. To ensure the quality of the tea leaves, it has been slowly roasted over a gentle fire, making the taste richer and fuller. Produced in limited quantity, we only have 3 kg. The tea has a clear, bright amber colour, delicate and translucent. As the soup deepens in subsequent infusions, there is a clear floral and fruity aroma, wrapped in a spicy aroma, which is the typical cinnamon aroma of Rou Gui, with clarity and cooling sensation. It gives a unusual, eye-opening sense of stimulation. In a sip of this tea, there is the fragrance of flowers raised on rocky bones as the sun passes through the steep rocky ridges. The refreshing fragrance of cinnamon nourished by clouds, streams and forests is like passion, and the taste is mellow and authentic.
For the upcoming Christmas season, this is the perfect gift for everyone who knows tea. We are proud to present a special grade of Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui that will stand up to your taste.
1: 8.3g of the Special grade Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui is packaged in a "one brew" aluminium can. The can is made of food grade aluminium. The small can is not only beautiful but also easier to seal, the tea is not easily exposed to moisture. The aluminium will form a dense oxide film, making the aluminium inside less likely to come into contact with the air and harder to be oxidised, so it will not rust as easily as iron. It is much smaller, feels light in the hand, and is hard enough and not easily deformed, which can better protect the tea leaves.
2: A 50g tin of premium Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui (random color) uses tea tins imported from Japan, the food-grade material directly touches the tea leaves. Chinese, Japanese, and SGS triple certification. 70 years of inherited craftsmanship. The double lid fits tightly, providing good seal. Silky and light, airtight can. Both elegant and practical, food-grade steel can, double lid sealing, moisture-proof and odor-proof (suitable for Storage in coastal cities and humid areas) is easy to carry, good for aging tea in dry conditions. After drinking tea, you can buy refills.
①The material of the canister is tin-plated steel from JFE, which not only has a low oxygen permeability but also preserves freshness, making it ideal for storing tea leaves. Even green teas with high sealing requirements can be stored for a long time.
②TThe thin but flexible steel plate is a sign of technological excellence without loss of functionality; this makes the lid and body silky smooth and tight, and allows silent opening and closing.
③The tea cans are the result of 70 years of craftsmanship; the design of the pattern reflects the full cultural heritage and the lacquer is also the high quality raw material of Toyo lacquer. Not only is it a tea can, it is also an embellishment for life. In addition the lacquer coating process, which applies the traditional technique of lacquer products to metal cans, has a more textured and artisanal feeling.
