In Huanglong Mountain, Dingshu Town, Yixing, China, there is a unique golden yellow Zhuni clay, which is hidden at the lower part of the quartz rock layer of the tender yellow stone, just like a treasure nurtured by the earth. It appears yellowish-brown in color, exists in a blocky form, and is fragile and not hard in texture. When making the mature clay, a special process of beating the pulp, precipitating, and filtering is required. This process is not only cumbersome but also a test of the craftsmen's skills.

The golden yellow Zhuni clay has good plasticity and can be formed relatively stably in the hands of craftsmen, laying the foundation for making exquisite teapots. Its firing temperature ranges from 1150°C to 1180°C, and the mature shrinkage rate is about 12%. Such harsh firing conditions have also given it unique characteristics. After firing, its sand color presents a charming orange-yellow and golden color. The delicate and smooth texture is like a baby's skin. The occasional pear-skin-like texture on the surface adds a bit more natural charm. The texture is dense and thick, and when you hold it in your hand, you can feel the steadiness and solidness.

In the book Records of Yangxian Teapots written by Zhou Gaoqi in the Ming Dynasty, it is recorded that the tender yellow clay in Zhaozhuang Mountain can be blended with all kinds of colored clays and is suitable for making pottery teapots. The description of the color of Zhuni clay in the Ming Dynasty as "Begonia Red" has added a touch of mysterious and romantic color to it. Today, Tongxin She Teahouse sincerely recommends to you the "Begonia Red Qin Quan Teapot" made of golden yellow Zhuni clay. This teapot has a capacity of 100cc. It is small and delicate but contains profound cultural heritage and exquisite craftsmanship aesthetics.

The shape of the Qin Quan Teapot is derived from the ancient weighing instrument, the Qin Quan. After Qin unified the six states, in order to strengthen its rule, it unified the weights and measures. As a weighing instrument, the Qin Quan symbolizes power and justice and contains profound historical and cultural connotations. Incorporating the shape of the Qin Quan into the design of the teapot is not only an inheritance and tribute to traditional culture but also endows the teapot with unique charm and a sense of solemnity.

This Begonia Red Qin Quan Teapot has a plump body with smooth and natural lines, just like the steadiness and magnanimity of the Qin Quan. The spout is short and powerful, with smooth water flow and clean cut-off, just like the edge of the Qin Quan, precise and decisive. The handle is of moderate thickness, comfortable to hold, and easy to grip. Its shape is simple and elegant, complementing the teapot body perfectly, as if telling ancient stories. The lid fits snugly with the teapot body. The slightly bulging lid is like the top of the Qin Quan, stable and dignified. The knob is ingeniously designed, shaped like a bridge knob, simple and generous. It is not only convenient to lift but also harmoniously unified with the overall shape.

The Begonia Red Qin Quan Teapot is not only a practical tea-brewing utensil but also an exquisite work of art. When used to brew tea, the unique dual-pore structure of the golden yellow Zhuni clay can absorb the aroma of the tea, making the tea soup more mellow, rich, and long-lasting in flavor. Whether you are savoring the tea alone, enjoying the tranquility and comfort, or gathering with friends to appreciate the good tea together, this Begonia Red Qin Quan Teapot will surely become the focus on the tea table, adding a special elegance and charm to your tea-tasting time.

Come to Tongxin She Teahouse, encounter this Begonia Red Qin Quan Teapot that carries thousands of years of culture and the craftsmanship of artisans, and start a unique tea culture journey.
