There are 36 peaks and 99 rocks in Wuyi Mountain. There is tea in the rocks. The tea is named after the rocks, so it is called rock tea. Wuyi Rock Tea has a dazzling variety of varieties, including Rou Gui, Shui Xian, Da Hong Pao and the traditional four famous ones. There are also some traditional small and famous bushes in Wuyi Mountain that are rarely planted and have low yields. Fragrant Osmanthus is a very popular oolong tea variety. It is one of the varieties later developed by Wuyishan Agricultural Science Institute. Wuyi cinnamon is a natural hybrid and is derived from the female parent "Dahongpao" (formerly known as 'Qidan') used for tea research by the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. A new variety bred by crossbreeding with the male parent "Cinnamon", which is a clone, shrub, medium leaf type and mesophytic species. Selected in 1979, it was approved as a provincial variety by the Fujian Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee in 1998. Spring tea has one bud and two leaves. The dry tea contains about 1.5% amino acids, 31.4% tea polyphenols, and 9.4% total catechins. It is an oolong tea with excellent varieties, brown color, rich aroma, and mellow and sweet taste ( Refer to Wuyi Mingcong Lu), the catechin content is extremely high, and the soup is golden in color.
This dried tea has tight and strong strips, dark brown and oily color; after brewing, the tea soup is orange-red and translucent, with a pungent aroma of cinnamon mixed with frankincense, orchid, fruity and peach aromas, and the taste is mellow, smooth, spicy and domineering, Slightly bitter and astringent, with obvious sweetness and salivation.
