Master Hui Yisa was born in 1988 in Dingshu Town, Yixing, the sacred heart of the purple clay world, steeped in the town's pottery heritage and connected to the craft from his earliest years. He graduated from the China University of Geosciences (Beijing), majoring in ceramics. This background endows him with both a professional understanding of mineral geology and a systematic grasp of ceramic aesthetics, giving him a scientific and profound comprehension of clay nature, kiln transformation, and surface texture that transcends the perspective of the traditional artisan.
In 2008, Master Hui Yisa became a disciple of Senior Crafts Artist Fan Zhongming, dedicating himself to mastering the fully handcrafted tradition of purple clay. For well over a decade he has worked the clay without respite, honoring ancient methods and studying with diligent focus. He inherited the orthodox forming discipline of his master's lineage, yet is not bound by old forms—he weaves a contemporary sensibility into the traditional shapes.

This teapot is fashioned from the treasured Sharkskin Green clay of Huanglongyuan—a scarce material blended by ancient methods from multiple native ores of the Huanglong Mountain core deposit. It contains no clay from external mountains, no artificial coloring, and no post-added sand. Following the traditional method of clay preparation, the ore has been naturally weathered and aged over a long period until its nature is fully awakened, yielding a mellow and grounded material.
