Time settles slowly, not only building up tea aroma, but also forging the nourishing gentleness of the brew. This custom‑made 2008 Gong Ting ripe puer is a vintage treasure long cherished by Tongxin‑She Teahouse.
It was personally overseen by Du Qiongzhi, former head fermentation master of Menghai Tea Factory. With decades of experience in pile‑fermentation for ripe puer, Ms. Du understands the delicate balance of temperature, humidity and microbial transformation within the fermentation pile. She steers every fermentation stage with her profound tea‑making expertise.
Custom‑produced exclusively for Tongxin‑She Teahouse in 2008, this brick is pressed from premium imperial‑grade tender tea materials full of golden bud tips — fine and uniform raw leaves. Right after completion, it was stored at our Shenzhen teahouse and has aged quietly in Shenzhen dry‑warehouse conditions. Never relocated to other storage sites, it has gradually shed the harsh heat of newly‑made ripe puer, evolving into soft, well‑rounded tea character.
Layers of original bamboo‑sheath wrapping shield the brick from outside interference, safeguarding it through more than a decade. When the weathered bamboo sheath is removed, the solid, heavy brick reveals dark glossy tea leaves scattered with fine golden tips. Pried gently with a tea knife, the tea pieces remain intact and neat. It releases calm, elegant aged aroma without stale storage taint, a unique charm bestowed by time.
The merit of premium imperial tender material lies in its exceptionally soft, delicate liquor, free from sharp irritation caused by coarse old tea stems. Brewed with boiling water, it yields clear amber‑red infusion with rich viscosity. Glutinous fragrance greets the palate, followed by subtle jujube sweetness. The texture is silky and rounded, with barely any bitterness or astringency.
Aged for years in Shenzhen dry warehouse, this vintage ripe puer carries mild nature that is gentle on the stomach. Unlike the sharp stimulation from some fresh teas, it is soothing and non‑irritating to the digestive tract. Sipping it after meals eases gastrointestinal burden; casual daily drinking brings gentle warmth deep in your abdomen. It can be enjoyed safely even by tea lovers with sensitive digestion. Perfect for solitary sipping or winter hot‑tea brewing.
Quantities of the full 2‑kg brick are limited. To let more tea‑lovers experience the charm of this high‑grade aged imperial ripe puer, we offer shared tasting portions starting from 10 grams. There is no need to buy the entire brick to savour this hand‑crafted vintage tea by Du Qiongzhi and feel its time‑mellowed gentleness.
One brick preserves years of Shenzhen history; one cup comforts body and soul. Sip and appreciate this 2008 Gong Ting ripe puer preserved at our Shenzhen teahouse.
