Bei Dou, Wuyi Yancha
DESCRIPTION: Today, I share the Wuyishan rock tea Beidou, which is also included in my Yan Cha appraisal package. You are welcome to order to taste it. Beidou No.1, one of the most precious and famous bushes of Wuyi. It's the result of work of Professor Yao Yueming, one of the biggest authorities of China's tea industry. In the late 1960s, cuttings from the aging Dahongpao tea trees were taken and planted in Beidoufeng and Jiulongke, and three survived. The name of the cuttings planted in Beidoufeng: Beidou No. 1, the name of cuttings from Jiulongke: Beidou No. 2. The results of trial production for more than ten years have proved that the rate of excellence is very high, and the aroma and taste are now highly appreciated. The initial aroma is fine, soft and long, the taste is thick, the aftertaste is sweet and lasting, and the "rock rhyme" is obvious. The "rock rhyme" is characteristic of tea planted in the Zhengyan area. The Beidou No. 1 planted in Zhengyan production area has limited output. Gao Peng, my brother, insists on producing a small amount of Beidou every year.
CHARACTERISTICS: This Beidou has a high flavor and a smooth taste. Already very enjoyable if you drink it now. There has always been a saying that "making raw tea in the South and baking in the North". Wuyi rock tea's unforgettable unique flavor and taste are closely related to baking. Gao Peng insists on using the traditional technique of charcoal baking to bake the tea thoroughly and activate the flavor while drying.
