WEIGHT: 100g

DESCRIPTIONBai Ji Guan is one of the four famous variants of yan cha from Wuyi Mountain. This particular variant grows in Lian Hua Feng, Zheng Yan producing area. It has peculiar buds and leaves with hues of light green and white. The buds are curved and fluffy. In fact, the name "Bai Ji Guan" originates from the tea's resemblance of of  the "cockscomb on a white pheasant's head".

According to legend, Bai Ji Guan was discovered and cultivated by Bai Yuchan, a famous Taoist master in the Song Dynasty. Bai Ji Guan was mainly used as a supplementary tea drink for regulating Qi and for keeping the Taoist monks nourished during their meditation in the monastery. Compared to the "Buddhist tea" which originated from Tianxin Temple in Wuyishan Mountain, Bai Ji Guan was simply more unique In fact, Bai Ji Guan's new leaves turn pale yellow while other yan cha teas are often green and green-brown.

CHARACTERISTICSAfter brewing, the bottom of the leaves becomes bright and yellow in color, trailing red edges become even more evident, the soup clear, light, and natural. The fragrance soaks the senses with everlasting, refreshing, floral aromas. The liquor's taste coats the mouth with a lingering sweetness that is only present in high quality teas.

I dislike the damaged product. The containers were smashed in, but the tea is wonderful. I made a Oolong latte with Maple Syrup. The leaves have a comforting flavor.

I have always enjoyed tea, but find I don't make it much. recently we purchased a tea pot from Amazon with a strainer basket and I thought why not............. I ordered this brand, and it truly is amazing. Prior to this I had used tea bags (sometimes Lipton sometimes more expensive brands), however this is beyond night and day. The tea has an amazing flavor and is so easy to use. I love this tea.

Wonderful, delicious Oolong tea and pleased with the price. In my area, finding oolong tea at a retailer is impossible, so I was taking a leap of faith when I ordered this brand, with which I was not familiar, online. I was rewarded with this very wonderful tea and highly recommend it. Based on the quality of this order, I will order again, as well as other Prince of Peace teas.

Great to relax with and really love the taste. A local restaurant also introduced me to it.
