Furthermore, it takes 20 hours of full kiln exposure, 60 hours of firing in the kiln, and another 60 hours to cool. The excellent hand-painted mud is then burned in an electric kiln to perfection for 12 hours, only after being hand-painted by a skilled artist. Overall, a total of 412 hours of labor with a mere 50% of the final output from the kiln passing the final inspection.
